Who are we helping?

A wide variety of businesses. But we mostly partner with talented founding teams with big ambitions. Here are some examples of who we’re working with and how they are able to level up.

Hub: TwoFront

TwoFront is a startup reimagining orthodontics. Their platform empowers orthodontists with an operating system that allows them to run practices without taking on extensive debt. Ingrid and team are enabling a new generation of modern care by taking on the complex balance of patients, providers, offices and manufacturers.

Challenge:

As a two-sided marketplace, TwoFront has to create a streamlined experience for patients, orthodontists, and dental offices alike. They need accurate numbers to manage by, but can’t rely on a prefabricated platform because what they’re doing hasn’t been done before.

Approach:

There’s no software on the market that solved TwoFront’s problems, but we didn’t need to settle for dozens of hours of manual work every month. TwoFront explained to us what their dream tool looked like, and we built it. By connecting the Hub to their other software tools, creating their ideal custom software was approachable even at this early stage.

Results:

TwoFront now has a dashboard that syncs daily with its scheduling data, with payouts calculated automatically. Management can see upcoming payouts and profitability by location, and providers have visibility into their earnings. Payments are scheduled and processed automatically. Now their back office process is as streamlined as their product.

Services: Mint House

Mint House is a startup revolutionizing the hotel experience by combining the best parts of a hotel stay with the feel of a luxury apartment. With technology and design at the core of the experience, they have been working to flip the traditional model on its head since day one.

Challenge:

It was clear from the onset that Mint House’s founder Will was looking to be ambitious with this disruptive company. With rapid growth on the horizon, they needed a partner to ensure finances were established thoughtfully, managed flawlessly and built to scale dynamically.

Approach:

We started with Mint House soon after their launch. Our first order of business was setting the foundation with elements like the chart of accounts, payments tools, and first financial model. With that infrastructure, we were built to scale rapidly. Over two years we helped facilitate seed and Series A funding and scaled the financial function from a one-person shop to a company of 60 employees.

Results:

Established all finance and accounting functions; Facilitated multiple rounds of venture capital investment; Recruited, onboarded, and transitioned to full-time in-house finance and accounting team.

Hub: Cohley

Cohley is a rapidly growing technology platform, offering data-driven tools to brands creating digital content. Their product allows marketers to bring some much-needed analytical rigor to a growth channel that continues to grow in importance.

Challenge:

Like many growing businesses with a large range of customer relationships, Cohley is heavily focused on keeping detailed and accurate customer and deal data. Despite this investment, translating this deal data into customer invoices (and then into cash) was anything but streamlined. Their CRM, accounting system, and management projection rarely showed the same revenue numbers.

Approach:

After testing a number of different software tools, nothing on the market seemed to meet Cohleys needs (and those of their customers). So we created what they’d been looking for. By connecting their CRM and accounting tools to the Hub, we could recreate what had been their manual process, just faster and with fewer errors and a lower cost.

Results:

We built a tool that synced to Cohley’s CRM at the end of each month, and sent an email notifying the team of missing data to update. Once fixed, we synced again, created and sent invoices where necessary, and then plugged the correct sales data into their management reporting spreadsheet.
