Jillian is Director at Calculate. She has a wealth of accounting and tax experience and is our go-to for all those nuanced accounting questions. Jillian acts as the controller and CPA for Calculate's clients.

Jillian has worked in a variety of roles and capacities in her career. After getting a foundation in tax at PwC, she spent time at a boutique accounting firm focused on supporting small and medium sized businesses across both accounting and tax matters.

Jillian also spent several years supporting high net worth individuals by providing guidance around their complex tax situations related to their businesses and investments. That background of businesses and individuals has been a potent combination at Calculate when preparing taxes for our client companies and the founders.

Jillian received a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the State University of New York. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey.

    In Jillian's Words

I grew up in a military family so I'm "from" a lot of places. I was born in Germany, transplanted to the sweeping plains of Oklahoma, and finally settled in Long Island. I eventually traded in my cowgirl boots, put myself through college and landed at PwC in the big city. Since then I have moved through a variety of firms and roles where I've gained a wealth of tax and accounting experience. When I'm not crunching numbers you can find me planning my next trip to explore the world with my husband, Mike, or lounging with my doggy daughter, Abby. I'm also known to enjoy a glass of wine (or two) with a good book or cheesy thriller.

    The Extras

Favorite Place Visited: It is a toss-up between Thailand and Germany. They both have their own amazing facets.

First Job: Cleaning bird cages for a woman who had more than 10 cockatoos in her home.

Hidden Talent: Origami. So hidden, it's hidden from me too! If anything, it's speaking every dialect of dog language there is.
