Joe is the founder of Calculate. Despite a fancy title, he spends the majority of his time with clients working through their business challenges. Joe is supporting businesses big and small from those with millions in revenue to the earliest pre-seed startups.
Joe landed at Goldman Sachs straight out of school. There he worked in a variety of capacities across financial planning, analysis, and strategy. Projects included building financial models and implementing unit costing methodologies. After Goldman, Joe moved to Perella Weinberg Partners where he managed many of the firms financial duties like building the annual budget and the firm's financial reporting.
After years in corporate roles, Joe founded Calculate in 2017 with the goal of taking that big company discipline and applying it to growing businesses.
Joe earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
In Joe's Words
Growing up I was always building something. From Legos to Sim City, I was constantly designing or constructing things, which was then compounded by a passion for numbers. Later, while working in big companies, I yearned for the opportunity to build again. With Calculate I get the chance to help build companies everyday and I couldn't love it more.
Favorite Place Visited: Xi'an, China - it's home to millennia of history, at the end of the Silk Road, and the Terracotta Warriors were always a bucket list item.
First Job: High School summers were spent selling ice cream out of a converted 1975 GMC truck.
Hidden Talent: Curating Spotify playlists. The 90's Vibes playlist is flawless, if I do say so myself.
